In today’s environment, safety is the first thing requested for any home. This begins with what is on offer at the entrance of the door. Regular doorbells have been replaced by advanced video door systems that offer audio and video interface for users to interact with visitors. Most societies and buildings have lobby and guard station video and intercom systems for added security. All this is linked over IP, allowing integration into the KNX automation system in every home.
Today conventional door locks are replaced by high-quality digital door
locks that offer fingerprint biometric access to homes. These door
locks can integrate with the video door system, and over the smart
home automation control application, users can open the door even
when they aren’t at home.
Other smart home security features that we recommend are door and window contacts, proximity
sensors for passageways and bathroom, and gas and smoke detectors installed
and integrated to the master panel allowing for alarms and notifications to
the user’s phones. If the house is automated over our KNX system, we even offer
timer and calendar specified functionality allowing for certain lights to come on at set times
in the evening, acting as a deterrent for burglars in case the users are not
at home for many days.
